Our New Normal

March 17, 2020

Dear Preschool Families,

We already miss your little ones faces and our family at STJP. We know that navigating this new normal is going to require patience and love. We will try to add new ideas throughout the upcoming week and links to different sources to give you optimum ideas to spend this time with your young ones at home. If you come across a link or something you would like to share, please let us know that as well. We pray that everyone will stay home and stay healthy.

Here are some stellar ideas for hanging out at home

and discussing with your kids these extraordinary times of which we are living.

Other ideas:

Teach your kids to cook simple meals with you.

Play board games. Don't have any? The old standbys work just fine. Charades, Hide and seek, treasure hunts, etc.

Work in the yard together.

Order takeaway that are contact-free only

Yoga: try yoga with Adriene (you tube)

Dance like no one is watching.

Write down stories and poems that you create together.

READ, READ, READ these are online:

Story line: Actors and Actress read some of the children's books. Free activity guide come with each. Available on YouTube or SchoolTube.

freechildrenstories.com, Starfall, Barnes and Noble online, TumbleBooks, International Children's Digital Library, ABCya!, Storynory, National Geographic Young Explorers

Arts and crafts: Now is not the time to worry about how messy something is. If they make a total mess...that's what bubble mountains are for in the bath tub.

Order items if you are able, to make care packages for the elderly.

We will come back to give some more ideas.

Be safe, Be at peace, Love Always-
